What is Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

IOP is a structured, part-time treatment program that blends clinical care with personal accountability. At Elite Recovery, IOP includes group therapy, individual sessions, education groups, and coordinated support from a multidisciplinary team. Services are tailored to each client’s treatment goals, progress, and personal circumstances.

Whether entering IOP directly or stepping down from a higher level of care, clients benefit from expert guidance and a supportive community, without the disruption of leaving their home or daily routine.

Who Is IOP For?

IOP is appropriate for individuals who:

  • Require more structure than traditional outpatient therapy, but don’t need full-time programming
  • Are stepping down from PHP or residential treatment
  • Need continued support for relapse prevention and mental health management
  • Are re-engaging in treatment after a period of instability
  • Are balancing treatment with work, school, or caregiving responsibilities

Elite Affirm for LGBTQ+ Adults

Our Affirm program provides structured treatment for adults seeking recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges in a safe, affirming environment.

Weekly Elective Group

Thursdays: 1:15 PM - 2:15 PM at 937 Grand Ave

This weekly rotating elective group offers participants the opportunity to explore different recovery-focused topics each month. Each session highlights a unique area of personal growth, helping individuals strengthen their recovery through spirituality, physical wellness, cultural healing, and family relationships. Participants may attend any week and are encouraged to engage with the topics that best support their recovery journey.

Week 1: Spirituality

Spirit, Soul, & Sobriety

Explore the role of spirituality in recovery and develop a deeper sense of purpose beyond substance use. This group helps participants distinguish personal spirituality from organized religion while exploring meaning, values, and identity in sobriety. Through reflection, discussion, and values-clarification exercises inspired by logotherapy, participants will build connection, reduce shame, and develop spiritual coping skills that support long-term recovery.

Core Themes:

• Connection & community

• Values alignment

• Meaning-making in recovery

• Mindful pause between triggers and responses

Week 2: Health Promotions

Each month, a member of the Health Promotion Team will present a new topic to support your efforts in developing a healthy lifestyle in recovery. These hands-on sessions are designed to provide new resources and activities not included in the medical education and nutrition group.

Core Themes:

• Connection & fun

• Self-advocacy

• Caring for yourself

Week 3: Wellbriety

Wellbriety is a recovery approach rooted in Native American cultural and spiritual traditions. The program is facilitated by trained leaders and emphasizes community, cultural connection, and holistic healing.

Unlike traditional recovery models, Wellbriety centers Indigenous perspectives on wellness—supporting a balance of mind, body, spirit, and emotions. Participants explore recovery through cultural teachings, spirituality, and community support to promote long-term healing and well-being.

Week 4: Dads in Recovery

Recovery asks a lot of you. So does fatherhood. When you’re trying to do both, it can feel overwhelming and isolating. This group is for dads who want to start working through the shame, rebuilding trust with their children, and finding support from dads who understand.

Recovery is hard, and so is fatherhood. This group is for dads who want to do both well. It is a place to connect with others who understand, work through the tough stuff together, and get back to being the father your kids know you can be. No matter where things stand right now, it is never too late to be a present and caring father. This group gives dads in our program a space to connect, support each other, and build the kind of relationship with their children that makes all the hard work worth it.
