In a saucepan over medium heat, melt and mix the almond butter and maple syrup until combined, do not let it boil. After pitting your dates, place them in a food processor or blender along with the warm almond butter-maple syrup mixture; mix well. If you do not have a food processor, use a wooden paddle or your hands if necessary. To the date, almond butter, maple syrup mixture, add the toasted steel cut oats and dried fruit. Mix well. Using your hands and a small scoop/tablespoons roll portion of dough into balls. To store, you can keep these refrigerated in an airtight container or wrapped individually in plastic wrap, ready to go. These should last about 1 week - but won't because they are so delicious!.
